INCUBATOR art lab

INCUBATOR art lab is a physical and theoretical hub, an art/science laboratory at The University of Windsor. Founded in 2009, it functions both as an apparatus in which environmental conditions can be controlled towards the assisted growth of life, but also as a site supporting the development of new ideas and artistic practices.

“Move 36” makes reference to the dramatic move made by the computer called Deep Blue against Chess world champion Gary Kasparov in 1997. This competition can be characterized as a match between the greatest chess player who ever lived against the greatest chess player who never lived.
