With immaculate Class 6E1, Series 8 Bo-Bo electrics E1956 & E1957 up front, the Blue Train pauses at Klerksdorp station en route to Johannesburg. As the sign says (in english & afrikaans) it's at a height of 1324m above sea level, 187km from Johannesburg and is the junction for Kroonstad. We actually joined the train at 05.00 at Kimberley from where it left 3 minutes early at 05.16.
