On October 11th, volunteers from our partners at African Impact - Cape Town along with various other friends and supporters braved the city's three-peak challenge and tackled hiking Devil's Peak, Table Mountain and Lion's Head all in ONE day!

The Happy Africa Foundation was established in 2008 as a way to responsibly manage the donations received from volunteers working on African Impact projects.   The organization funds initiatives and programs in the communities where African Impact volunteer projects are based.  The Happy Africa Foundation is currently based in Cape Town. Thanks to the support of The Happy Africa Foundation, the children at Red Hill Preschool, where Cape Town volunteers regularly assist, are able to receive healthy meals while at school. Funds also go to support the cooks and teachers through nutritional workshops and healthy cooking courses. Thanks to kind donations, these boys and their brother (living in rural KwaZulu-Natal), will be attending school for the first time this year! And The Happy Africa Foundation was fortunate enough to provide them with school supplies and uniforms!

In 2013, thanks to donations collected by a former African Impact volunteer based in Kenya, The Happy Africa Foundation was able to transform the Karuri Health Centre, creating a waiting bay, extra rooms, seating, and renovating the staff areas.

Thanks to generous donations to The Happy Africa Foundation, we were able to install a brand new water tank at Mukeu School for Special Needs, where African Impact volunteers assist each week.

Past African Impact volunteer Jack cycled 109km in 4 hours and 30 mins at the Argus Cycle race in Cape Town after generously raising over £700 for our initiatives at our Cape Town location.

The wall and gate have been completed and volunteers from African Impact - Zanzibar have been hard at work clearing the land for building!   However, this project is still in great need of funds!
