Hand smocked Indigo Shwe Shwe dresses.
I eventually completed some smocked sundresses using Shwe Shwe. They both have bias tape around the armholes and for the shoulder ties. Ready to be blocked. I usually leave it to dry overnight. This one with the front and back yoke is smocked in front. I like to finish my seams with a French seam. Some vintage trim from my late mother’s stash. Part of the “Three Cats” logo. My first attempt at dying with indigo. The cotton lace took well to the dye.
