White dough: 1/2 cup cornstarch 1 cup baking soda 3/4 cup water _Bake at 175 degrees F for 45-60 minutes. Then flip over and bake an additional 45-60 minutes, or until all ornaments are hard. Let cool then spray with a clear protective coating (I used Krylon matte finish).
4 cups flour 1 cup salt 1-1/2 cups cold water Cut the recipe in half and still make a lot of beads. Thoroughly mix the flour and salt together. Add the water and mix well. Knead the mixture for ten to fifteen minutes. Shape your beads and make a hole with a wooden skewer. Bake at 250 degrees for 2-3 hours or until they are completely dry and hardened.
Awesome homemade playdough....but it hardens rock solid for long term projects. You can make beads, ornaments, and even dice. It's not very heavy when dry, either. Lighter than the flour/salt dough. Nice project for kids.
