South African Food

The South African cuisine caters for every taste and budget and you certainly will be spoilt for choice! Delicious fruit and vegetables such as mangos, granadillas or brinjals (aubergines) are widely available. Local seafood such as hake, tuna, oysters or crayfish, is a treat especially at the coast. Many traditional South African dishes contain chicken, beef or lamb and some even include freshly hunted game, such as kudu or springbok. Make sure you experience a typical South African braai!
