Countries everywhere were putting signs up all over their country asking for help from their citizens. During WW1 soldiers were dying rapidly, specifically 230 an hour. Countries like Germany and Britain were recruiting boys younger than 18, because war offices didn't have time or need to check. These young men were known as "Boy Soldiers". Over the war these boys caused a controversy between officials despite the fact they were doing it for their country.
