1941 second marriage for Actress Hattie McDaniel (1895-1952) to real estate salesman James Lloyd Crawford. They divorced in 1945. She was the first African-American to win an Academy Award. She won the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role of Mammy in Gone with the Wind (1939).
