Feathered Armour Masterwork no.13 Sculptor(s): Somandla Aaron Ntshalintshali Painter(s): Jabu Nene Somandla Ntshalintshali has hand-built this rhino vase to fill our largest kiln, and this time has added monkeys swinging off the rhino horns. His vessel has monumentality and depth; and the rhino horns, which fortify the vase, are synonymous with our fight to save the rhino in Africa.

Malachite Merriment Did you know that a group of Kingfishers is known as a concentration? This exquisite concentration, delicately perched on the bowl’s perimeter, is from our Masterpieces range, and is created by two of Ardmore’s leading artists, Teboho Ndlovu and Jabu Nene.

Tebogo Ndlovu’s hand-coiled Bronco Bowl is packed full of humour and fun. You cannot help giggling when you look at the bucking zebra, which has just kicked a monkey in his behind. Around them a troop of monkeys tumble and play in a frivolous pursuit of fun. It’s clear to see that Tebogo enjoyed sculpting this action- and comedy-filled Zambezi masterwork

Thabo Mbhele and Wiseman Ndlovu have captured the essence of our Zambezi theme and the incredible animal life which inhabits the mighty river, as did the writer Rudyard Kipling with his ‘Just So’ stories.
