Trophy Class Bass
Keith Watkins, of Douglasville, caught this 17-lb., 9.6-oz. bass on March 30, 2015. It's the largest Georgia bass on record since 1987 and is No. 4 on GON's Georgia’s Biggest Bass of All-Time list. Keith Watkins caught his record-book bass on March 30, the day he turned 51 years old. Keith had his fish weighed at E.T. Doyal & Sons Feed and Seed in Villa Rica. The owner, Jerry Doyal, was witness to the weighing.
Did you know that Patrick Sebile holds the IGFA All-Tackle Length Record for largemouth bass? It was 24.016 inches (61 cm) long, beating the previous record of 23.228 inches (59 cm). The Nile River in Uganda grows some big Largemouth Bass huh? The is not a Largemouth Bass but this species looks very similar. I bet the Largemouth Bass in the Garden of Eden were this big. Prior to the Great Flood the the Bible tells us that the world was different. I believe the creatures lived much longer and grew much bigger.
