Robben Island. Just off Cape Town, this island was home to many of South Africa's political prisoners during the apartheid years. Nelson Mandela spent 18 years of his life in a cell here. It's an important reminder of where this country - and the world - has come from.
I didn't hike up (so lazy!) but still took the cable car early to the top of Table Mountain. Beautiful views in every direction and a great way to start the day in Cape Town here in South Africa. The mountain is part of a World Heritage Site because of the number of flora species that grow here.
Leaving the #Stellenblog homestead this morning. This has been a very pleasant place to stay for a few nights. I never got a chance to try this pool - but I certainly soaked up these magnificent views of South Africa every day. I've got a couple more things planned in this region and then off to Durban this evening!
