So it finally arrived, the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon weekend consisting of the International Friendship Run, a 5k that measured 6.3k along the waterfront and around the stadium with running legend Haile Gebrselassie, fun runs with the kids around the University of Cape Town fields, two trail runs, the rerouted but still picturesque ultra and the half.

This week, she talks about her recent participation in the 44km Addo Elephant Trail Run… Last Saturday I ran my first 44km Addo Elephant Trail Run. The morning started with a 3am wake-up call – which allowed me just enough time to pin my race number on, pack my bag, knock back a sufficient quantity of caffeine and attempt to eat something.

Jimmy Nevis to run Old Mutual Two Oceans Half Marathon

Cape Town singer, songwriter and producer Jimmy Nevis will line up with some 16 000 other runners to participate in the Old Mutual Two Oceans Half Marathon on Saturday, 4 April 2015. It will be the first Half Marathon for the artist, known for his catchy songs like “Heartboxing”, and “Day Dream”. Nevis has received extensive commercial radio success in South Africa with numerous chart-topping singles.
