In my 3D Design class in college, we used patterns like this to make 3d shapes out of copious quantities of cardstock, then put the shapes together to make sculptures. We used a copier to make the patterns bigger/smaller.

Sacred Geometry 1
They are geometrical forms which are said to act as a template from which all life springs. The aesthetic beauty and symmetry of the Platonic solids have made them a favorite subject of geometers for thousands of years. They are named after the ancient Greek philosopher Plato who theorized that the classical elements were constructed from the regular solids. To the Greeks, these solids symbolized fire, earth, air, spirit (or ether) and water.

Geometric Shapes Sheet by Presnt & Correct: A book of various shapes to cut and assemble. We used to draw these on recycled shirt cardboard from the cleaners and laboriously cut and score them with a razor. This is so much easier. Printed in 1975, the book opens up to a large sheet of shapes. #Solid_Geometry #Geometric_Shapes #Present_&_Correct
